Here is the analysis of a water after filtration au Binchotan, which was carried out by an independent laboratory specialized in water quality_cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ in the USA.

For this study, water enriched with various metals was tested. The water was only brought into contact with the activated carbon for one hour only.  The initial quantity of molecules present in the water is represented in blue, and the quantity after filtration with the carbon active  is represented in orange. The various results are shown in the table opposite.

We note that most of the undesirable substances contained in the water are totally or almost entirely removed :

- money

- aluminum (present in pipes and fittings)

- boron

- barium

- beryllium

- cadmium

- cobalt

- chrome

- iron

- mercury

- lithium

- molybdenum

- sodium (= salt: this is interesting in salt-free diets)

- nickel (present in pipes and fittings)

- phosphorus

- lead (present in some old pipes)

- sulfur (responsible for the bad odors and bad taste of tap water)

- antimony

- silicon

- tin (present in taps)

- strontium

- titanium

- thallium

- uranium

- vanadium

- tungsten

Arsenic has not been totally eliminated. Nevertheless  since tap water is perfectly drinkable, it does (fortunately) contain none!

In just one hour, the quantity of calcium (= limestone)  is 4 times less than in the initial water!

This is interesting for people or animals prone to kidney stones of calcium origin.

Binchotan also preserved magnesium and  manganese, des minerals important for health. Note that Binchotan restores potassium to the water. Potassium is good for good heart health.

Tap water contains drug residues, which unfortunately cannot all be filtered by sewage treatment plants:

Among the most dangerous are residues of hormonal drugs (birth control pills), antiepileptics, antidepressants and anticancer drugs.

Activated charcoal has also long been known to be an excellent anti-poison. When administered within one hour after ingestion of a toxic substance, activated charcoal can reduce the absorption of this substance by up to_cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_75%.

It is used in hospitals and veterinary surgeries to fight against poisoning. These articles will explain to you more:

If a dose of only 50 grams of activated carbon can completely detoxify the organism of a 70 kg adult in the stage of severe intoxication, -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_than a stick of 40 grams of activated carbon placed in a liter of water and acting for 8 hours (i.e. 3 times longer than digestion) can easily remove tap water from the drug particles it may contain. It is also not for nothing that we recommend using activated charcoal in capsules away from any drug intake:

Tap water contains nitrates. This article will tell you why they are dangerous:

Activated charcoal is effective in eliminating nitrates, as shown in this study:

Tap water contains pesticides. This article will tell you why :

Activated charcoal is effective in removing pesticides, as this study indicates:

Here is the list of pesticides captured by activated carbon:

Activated carbon also speeds up chlorine removal, as this study shows:

As you will have understood, using Binchotan activated carbon is a simple, effective way, ecological and natural to treat tap water at home. It will exempt you from buying a water softener , an osmosis unit, or filters to place on the water inlet ... which produce a lot of waste (non-recyclable cartridges), are very expensive to buy and require costly maintenance.

Activated charcoal in capsules disrupts the taking of oral contraceptives until they become ineffective. If a few micrograms of activated charcoal in capsules can destroy the effect of birth control pills, it seems logical that a 40 gram stick in a carafe of water will easily capture the hormone residues contained in tap water_cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ :
